I picked up a Lefever G Grade circa 1902 10 gauge . Gun has very nice 30" barrels that seem to be modified and full . Bores on this gun are bright and the barrels are not cut andtgeyring true theentirelengthof both barrels . Now for the negative , at some point the stock was replaced with a Fajen . The trigger guard was changed a bit and the sear springs as well as a couple screws need to be replaced . On a side note I have old original springs and screws on the way . Also have a KickEez to install on the Fajen stock . Hopefully this gun will be back together week after next as well as the pad fit . Then hopefully I can pattern my buckshot loads in this old gun .

Nice. Is it proofed for smokeless, or do you load BP 10gauge?

No and No !

At the moment I load SR7625 and 1 1/4 ounces of shot , buckshot or slug . When I use up my SR7625 I'll switch to Unique and or Universal Clays . I have a hammerless circa 1881 W&C Scott 10 gauge I started loading for maybe 15 years ago . Used a load Ross Seyfreid published in Handloader a number of years before that . I have nine short 10's I load for of which two are fluid steel and the rest Damascus . Only two are hammer guns an 1882 Parker lifter and an 1884 Parker hammer top lever .

I have a one that is made in Spain.I can not spell it for how it is for me.But it have 2 ivory beads and side by side it was full on both barrels But when they had that you could not use lead on waterfowl at the time I had a gun smith bore it out to IM .It is good about 60yards still.

In the future if you decide you wanna put screw ins in your gun this is the guy we use . He does good work with a quick turn around ,

Kinda getting antsey to get the springs etc in this old gun and try her out ! I have since getting it discovered the trigger guard may very well be as was original . Although the serial number is not there , but we have a very decent engraver at our disposal that can remedy that PDQ . I might opt for a repro Lefever buttplate over the recoil pad and if I do that I'll get a repro grip cap as well . Then the only thing left to do would be a semi checkering job on the PG and a freshening of thdvdamascus pattern on the barrels .
