I bulk lubed a bunch of patches and thankfully, they were not stuck together like most paraffin/beeswax lubes do. I was able to squeeze out most of the left over lube and after a few hours, they dried nicely, without feeling overly lubed. Just right!

I used my traditions mountain rifle this time around with 70gr olde eynsford black powder and .020" bridgers best patches. I REALLY like these patches as they are tough and have a rough texture to them that seems to wipe the fouling away a lot better than the eastern maine patches I normally use.

This was from 50 yards.

Nice shooting....I like when I go to the range and someone will come up and say...but those aren't accurate.... Than hit stuff they cant with they're ar or what ever they happen to be burning ammo through. Some people's kids...

Nice shooting! Btw, you're the 2nd person who has said positive things about Bridger's Best patches in the last couple of weeks. I'm going to search for them shortly.

What were you resting the rifle on? Also, did you swab between shots?

Its a big game hunters tree stand brand of table that basically has a metal V type rest for the fore end of the stock. No swabbing. Just wasn't needed.

Well that was a perfect group.

I would try to shoot into softer back stop then the rocks. At very close range I would think dust and stone parts maybe a problem. Maybe there was a softer spot behind the target I just making sure. At 50 yards you should be okay.

Nope, the kit was a St. Louis Hawken.

This is the Traditions Mountain Rifle.

Yeah I'll be able to squeeze in a 100 yard shoot some time soon.
