Trying to decide between the 2. Lyman appears to have larger meplat. RCBS looks like it would feed easier. I looked at the Lee 358-158-RF, but I don't want a bevel base. Suggestions/opinions welcome. Thanks.

I'm thinking about one of these for my Marlin.

Hmmm. Another one on the consideration list.

I use this 360180 WFN from NOE with great success in my Marlin.

I can make it worse I use both the lyman and the rcbs.
now I can make it better.
the lyman will probably pour to the 356 you don't want.

buy the rcbs and don't look back.

Thanks for the input. I'm leaning heavily toward the RCBS. I've experienced Lyman molds dropping undersized in the past.

Doesn't the Lyman 358665 also have a bevel base???

Arsenal Molds Made me the BRP designed 360-155 RNF. Absolutely the most versatile and accurate 357 boolit I have ever used. I like it so much, that I bought two more.
Jared at Arsenal will treat you right.

Jared did a 4-cavity, plain-base that I PC and shoot in my Rossi 92. Undoubtedly the best performing of all my .357 molds in the Rossi and no slouch in revolvers, either, though I must admit that my GP-100 seems to prefer the 358156 w/GC for 25-yd. accuracy.

I would suggest staying away from any new Lyman product, their quality, quality control, warranty, and customer have gone to heck.
the others are much better options.

Sir I own the Lyman 665 mold and it works fine for me. I also own the Accurate 36-160H mold as well. The accurate mold is an excellent mold made to spec how you want. They both shoot well for me. The accurate mold is definitely a cut above Lyman. I find both these bullets yield easy found sweet loadings. I cannot say the same for SWCs. I shoot them in several different revolvers and the big boy steel. I have also purchased the 44 version of this style of bullet as well after buying a box RNFPs from Rim Rock. Like I said before it's an easy bullet to find a sweet spot for.

Rcbs 158grswc works well in my win trapper so does ribs 180grsilgc boolits but the 180 needs to be seated deeper in the case to work in the marlin 94 .1.6 inch oal works fine in the win.

I have the Lee 158 RF and I did away with the bevel by taking a small pocket knife
and trimming the bevel off the mold...very easy to do and it doesn't hurt the mold
as when you size, all imperfections are gone. It's a great bullet.
