Having one of my favorites tonight.

Take some venison steaks, you can pound them with a tenderizing mallet if you want to, but not necessary. Coat them in flour with some salt and pepper and brown them in an iron skillet with some olive oil. Mix a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of French onion soup and an 8 ounce can of spicy V-8 juice in a crock pot and put the browned steaks in it and simmer it for several hours. I like to serve it over brown long grain rice.

Steamed broccoli or green beans go real well with it too.

This always turns out good and it's so easy it's almost embarrassing to admit how easy it is.

The less tender cuts of venison are used for Swiss steak at our house.
I don`t know my wifes recipe but it is delicious....dale

I'm going to have to try this.. I got a new to me but old 1920s-1930s "Good Health" (made by Griswold) #6 skillet that I "broke in" with a batch of the Ultimate Brownies that I posted the recipe for in another thread, and it made them nice and crispy on the edges so now I have to use it for some venison to make this recipe with.
