I have a large quantity of "tin" in bar form. This tin came from two defunct tin plating plants. I have no way to
test tin to see exactly what it is. I'm guessing it wouldn't be 100% tin. What would be best way to find out what
it is without spending a arm & leg.

Are you selling or wanting to know what it is worth? Check American Metal Market spot tin price.

If it's pure tin then you can do a specific gravity test and check the melt temp. Or send a sample to BNE with a pound of Pb to get an XRF test.

if it was destined for plating it would have to be pure. that's my opinion, because of the process they use it would have to be or they would be a tin and-------- plating company.

Pure tin crackles when you bend it also. It's a pretty cool sound.

good luck bending a solid bar of tin.
50-50 yeah, 70-30 sorta if you put some oomph into it.

I'd just call what you have Tin and use it as such.
the alloy/gun ain't gonna care if you have .9% or 1.1%
