1862 Needham Conversion Rifle .58 Berdan

Hi all.
Picked up a real nice New York 1862 dated rifle with side opening breech. This is one of the nicest guns I have picked up.
Does anyone have any loading tips for the (assumed) .58 berdan cartridge please ?
I have (not) in my possession :

24g brass hulls
Brass tube cutter
LEE .575 minie mold
Some Swiss no4 black
(No dies of that size)

Hello thanks for the reply.

Managed to get a cartridge together using 24g magtech brass.
Run through 577 sizing die, however wouldn't fully chamber. So I gently bumped the shoulder using 577/450 die and it goes in.
Issue I have is the firing pin strike is too shallow. So I am guessing the rim is slightly to thin.
I have seen 50-70 brass, do they have thicker rims ?

Hello - I managed a workaround by using rubber washers, which does the trick

I have One and shot Mine . The Cartridge Is not 58 Berdan. . The cartridge Is 58 center fire Musket . . Thats what mine is In. 28 gage will work but you will still have to reduce the Neck.. . I use a sleeve as a Die just enough to reduce the neck slight .
I went By the Original I have. But even The original are Tight.
. This is a Trial and error
