I know this is not exactly the right forum but there's folks on here that know Martinis. I'm trying to find a PH3A sight, this is the one with a U-shaped bracket that fits on the large Martini frame. Foolishly sold the one that was on mine many moons ago. Any ideas where to find one? GW

They are rare these days. Occasionally show on Ebay or in England. You may also consider the Australian "Mues Special" (top rifle in the pic) which is fitted over the side of the action and folds down.

BAW, there was a thread on here where you showed a number of ideas for adding peeps to a Martini, but be darned if I can find it. I'm not stuck on the idea of sticking with original. Might consider a PH-7 if I can find it, or a Soule type back on the wrist. Just playing with ideas to cut down the weight (10.5lbs) possibly by getting rid of the scope and the heavy shop made mount ahead of the receiver. It has a 26" 30/40AI barrel and the wood is some rather dense crotch-cut black walnut, not too many ideas there. I'm getting stove up and the thing is a bit heavy to pack around. GW

Doesn't Garry make them from scratch? (VonGruff)

That 7A could be made to work. Someone milled off the upper portion of the stock socket so I'd have to add something there. GW

This is a no8 BSA apeture sight for a cadet ,hard to find these days and they command premium prices when they do surface.

Here is how I solved the problem on a Martini Henry. If you have the small frame a PH7 or 8 would be the way to go. This isn't exactly period correct but the rifle is capable of fine accuracy with my old eyes with this combination.
The target was shot at 100yd with BP and that setup.

Useful idea there Boz! I'm gonna hold off and see if my luck monkey is doing his job. Talked to a gunsmith friend the other night and mentioned my search, he says I got three. What? I carefully described the thing, yup, that's what I have, maybe only two. Probably won't get over there for a couple weeks so will be patient. GW
