View Full Version : Powder measure
Picked this up in a large box of stuff. Can anyone tell me:
1) Is it complete?
2) Who made it?
3) What is it worth?
I pput the tape on the handle so that the lettering can be read. The first letter is undecipherable to me, the second two are either 55 or SS and then the #1400.

Surely worth more than any $10 though. I would pay 3 times that just because I dont have one and it would fit nicely with all my other vintage reloading bits and pieces. Picking up the older pieces is the crippler though with postage costs to get things to me.

Those Forster/Bonanza powder measures are excellent: Simplicity itself, smooth action, reliable, but a mite tricky to adjust.
Be cool if some one had a collection of most all powder measures and did a review. I did see one in a old gun digest but it was from the 60's I think. Wondering how old meets newer.
Terrific info, guys. I really appreciate your responses.
