Several years ago I traded for a Japanese made Browning low wall in 45 L.C. At the time I wondered why I would spend $950 for a Browning in 45 LC ? Third shot my wife turned to me and said do not trade this one off. Then I had my answer.

Texas Jack's in Fredericksburg had one for a long time at, I believe, $1150. May still be there. I oughta buy a lottery ticket......

I got some pictures on the 45 L colt gun was made in japan year 2000 new never fired
is it worth $950.00
I think it would be a great deer gun and even a nice range gun from the bench

FWIW, I have a Uberti highwall in 45 Colt with very tight bore and groove dimensions and an 18" twist.

I bought a 45-60 reamer, had the gun rechambered and the barrel shortened. I shoot everything from the Colt bullet to the 500 grain gubmint, sized correctly of course, smokeless or black, It is superior to the B-78 I had for eons. BvT

I would be tempted to drop $950 on it. Most of the ones I have seen lately are carrying price tags more on the order of $1100-$1200. Haven't seen one for less than $1k for some time.

I have the same rifle (Miroku Low Wall) in 22lr and it a very nicely put together gun.

I also shoot the 45 colt in a lever action carbine. I think the cartridge is highly under-rated in the long arms. A 300grain@1400-1500fps or 250gr@1600-1700fps is easy to achieve and puts quite the whack on deer.

I was going to say anything under a grand is a good, and fair price.
