I want to start casting for my 10mm pistols. Old Colt Delta Elite in blue, Dan Wesson CBOB, Dan Wesson PM, and Glock 20.

What's your favorite mold for 10mm?

Thanks.

No one loads 10mm?

Midway had a Storm lake barrel for a Glock 21 to convert it to 10 mm and I almost bought it as it was on clearance. But I already have toys enough to take more time than I have to play. Someone will respond if you're patient. I would say , in my opinion, use the fattest boolit that you can get to chamber easily, and don't be overly concerned with getting a real hard alloy.

I don't load for the 10 but do the 40, same diameter boolit, try Lyman 401043 a 170 gr.
or NOE 402-160 a 160 gr. I use both in my XD

I have the Lee 170gr mold, not used it yet. And the NOE 200gr mold with HP pins which come out about 180gr. Never owned a 10mm, just 40s.

Seems like the 10 mm and 41 magnum have something in common.
Both are unloved and neglected , the red headed step children of the reloading world.
I share your pain , my avatar is a model 58 S&W 41 mag. I can help you with 41 loads and boolits but alas , I don't have a 10 mm. Sorry
But if I were given one the first boolit mould I would try would be a truncated cone design. Like the Lee 401 - 175 - TC, not the tumble lube design but the standard lube groove. TC designs , in other calibers , have given good results.

I have both the Lee 175 moulds but use a 165 from accurate in the 40. IIRC he has 200 gr. for the 10mm. A 4x Al. isn't much and will empty a Lee pot fast.

The Lee 175 TC is actually a pretty good bullet. I run them with 800X in my Delta Elite pistols.

Has anyone used the Lee 145 gr SWC?

10mm auto fan here. Experienced loader, but new caster. I started with the Lee 401-175-tc mold in 2 cav. Good bullet. The mold was a little fussy. I've since bout an NOE 403-180-RF and LBT 402-200-WFN to feed my Glock 20. These will also serve my Glock 23 in 40 SW. We've had a pretty severe winter, by local standards, so my new molds remain in new condition for now. Hope to get some casting done soon. All will be coated with Smoke's PC.

My childhood buddy lives in Nampa. I was born in Boise and raised in Nampa. Both my sisters live in Eastern Washington.

Winter has been brutal in that part of the country. Makes me glad I moved to Texas!

I am glad you asked this question Texas. I also am looking to cast and load for the 10mm, so I look forward to seeing the responses. That NOE 200g hollowpoint mold Tackleberry mentioned might be just the trick.

My kids had 5 straight snow days to extend Christmas break. Then it got pretty cold. Rolled in to Donnelly weekend before last for a ski weekend and the temps were showing 22-25 below! Supposedly a good storm is imminent too. Bad casting weather, but the ski season has been awesome!

I can't wait to try these new 10mm molds, but they'll have to wait a bit.

NOE 403-200-RF and LeeTL-401-175-TC in Glock 20. Lee boolits have shot great from Glock 23 I have also.

Is that the NOE 403-200-WFN? I don't see the RF on the site

I load 10mm for a Caspian 1911 and an S&W 610.
I have a MiHec HP mould. 200g solid / 180 HP.
Looks like the MP 402-160 only heavier.
Great mould, great boolit

What's the mold number for that MP mold Gunslinger?

Never mind. I see nothing matching that description on his website, so he must not have any overrun. Oh Well.

Longtime loader and caster for 10mm and 40 Short & Weak. 200 grain RCBS was my former cast-bullet favorite in 10mm, but carry rounds (Win ST) are better duplicated by the Lee 175 TC. I need to assess my new Glock 20 and 29 for lead-friendliness after a shake-down cruise with j-words of 180 grain weight. Still in "R&D mode" with the 10mm holsterplastic from Austria.

My current ST duplicator load is the Hornady 180 HAP atop 10.0 grains of Blue Dot, CCI 300 primers in Starline brass. These get about 1070 FPS from the G-29 barrel (3.78"). This about a 225 FPS uptick from the 40 S&W in the sub-compact Glocks with 3.78" barrels, IME.
