Brass coil information

Hi every one a happy new year to you all, does anyone the price of half hard brass in .014" thickness over there?
i have been offered some that i can slit to 1/2" & 5/8" to suit 44,8mm &30 cal check makers , i just need to know if its worth me buying,slitting and shipping to the states and still make a bob or two.
Is it sold by the pound or by the length? any help would be appreciated.oh and if any one might be interested in any please let me know. regards ian (yonky)
