I have a 50cal RB mould bought new a couple years ago. Just got around to using it. Had just used my stash of Hornady RB's up..

The problem - The screw that holds the handle to the block stripped out after 20 pours.. I know adout the warrenty but by the time and cost to shipp it from Canada I might as well buy a Lyman and call'er good and gone..

Due to my Dutch heritage... I was thinking of drilling out the holes and using a roll pin to repair the mould.. Any thoughts?
Thanks Leroy

Thanks Ben. I can make that work. I do remember reading that thread awhile back.

Just drill the hole centered to line up well with your current sprue hold down screw. ( look at the photos in my post one more time before you start your work ) Aluminum is super easy to cut threads in, keep your tap clean and lubed. You shouldn't have a problem.
