I purchased an older style weaver K6-C3, steel tube made in USA
it has fine cross-hair and a second additional horizontal line slightly below the centered cross-hair.
Can anyone tell me what the that second line was intended for ??
thanks

I always used it for different ranges, out to 150 yards was the top one then out to 300 was the bottom, give or take some.

The second wire is supposed to be something like 6" below the top wire at 100 yards. At 200 years it is 12" and 300 yards it is 18".
Say your big buck (18" from brisket to back) is spotted at 300 yards and from brisket to back he fills the 18" gaps then you know that he really is at 300 yards.
It just a range finder function.
