I have two rifles built on 78 actions. One is a 223 the other is an 06. Neither has the holes for the receiver sight.

There you go. I wonder what year Remington quit D&T for receiver sights on the 700? I have not owned one later than 1970s vintage. Best, Thomas.

Williams makes a little sight that will mount on top of the bridge with the 2 rear holes.

I have a bdl from the early 80's and it's not tapped for the receiver sight, that's probably a cost saving measure I'm sure!
