I have quite a bit of 4227 and was wondering if any of you lever gun guys have had success loading it for the 45 LC. Specifically for the R92 in 20". If so what boolit do you cast with your load. Thanks in advance for you "suggestions" implied or otherwise.

Do a search on the net for the Hank Williams Jr load with this powder. Its his load that is very accurate. I use this powder in the 475 linebaugh with good success. Al

I am using 21.0 grs. with a 300 gr. Accurate g/c mold for my Win./Miroku 92 45 Colt very accurate and not unpleasant to shoot.

Put a good healthy crimp on it with magnum primers.

I am running 13g of 4227 behind a 255g RN seated at 1.58 oal, for my brother in a 26 inch barrel '73 and his 7 1/2 inch SAA, both by Uberti. He is handicapped, and not fond of a beat up shoulder, he is doing quite well with it.
this is my go to load for my .44 sp Bisley number 5 style also.

My preferred load in a Hawes Single Action long ago was 20gr IMR4227 with a Lyman 454424. Very accurate.

YUP...20gr of 4227 bullets from 225 and up...good load. I like it with the new NOE Keith bullet ("original Keith"???)
