Just did my first cast of the Lee 215 8mm mold from Midsouth.
Lubed and gas checked they weigh 245 grains.

Now I'm looking for a load to get around 1850-2000 ft/s.
Rifle is a Polish WZ29 from the SCW.
Need powder charge and COAL if you have any.

coal is whatever the rifle say's it is.
17-18grs of 2400,29-30grs of 4895 are pretty standard loads in that velocity range.
you can also use 200gr data from the 30-06 to get you started.

I'm with Fiver on the 17-18 grain 2400 loads Should work real fine for a starter

22.gr of H4759 with the same bullet with an 8x57 case. I see I'm not the only one who got a HEAVY Karibineer Mold from MidSouth.

Oh and 1850fps - 5ft from the muzzle.

You meant H4895 not h4759, right? Do you know the OAL of the cartridge?

sigloader: 28grs of ACC5744 gives you about 1900 fps for this bullet. Note: no filler to the case. Bye Ales

Does that say , Powder H-853
in your load data ?

Tell me more about that powder.

Yes H-853 this is a real old powder that is not available anymore. I bought 10 lbs from an old man years ago and the can stated use IMR 4895 data. And it has proven to be true from what I have loaded. They don't all shoot to the same zero but they all shoot accurately. Hope this info helps.

22gs of 4895 would really be pushing things low.

853 is a new number to me too, I'd like to hear about it also.

its 27 & 28 grs of imr 4895. I think h-853 is an old military ball powder but not sure. i'm about out ,its some of the best powder I've ever had, wish I could get more.

My go-to load for the Karabiner in my M98 is 35gr H4895, chronographed at 1,850, but my Karabiner casts a bit heavier than 215gr, 235gr if I remember correctly.

mine also casts 232 to 235 , they to shoot better for me if they are harder. for me they are to hard if water dropped.

Mine drops at 235 gr also. Got it to use in a CZ-23 with peep sight & post front.

Beat me to it and with my favorite load too! That KAR boolit is a heavy hitter on deer and one heavy duty penetrator.

Older spiral bound Lyman manual has an 8mm 220+ grain cast load listed in it. I think #45 or 46.

I have the heavier "Cruise Missile" 225 gr. mold. Check and lubed weighs about 250 gr. No data for it.
