Just finished setting up my loadmaster and running dummie loads to get the feel and overall operation of it. I got a great deal on 2lbs of Hodgdon 700-X for free, so I'm planning on using it

CB 356-124-RN TL, drop at 357-130, Hodgdon, load data for a 130gr at 3.5-3.9 with COAL of 1.150

I pushed out a couple of dummie loads at 1.149. How does the bullet seat and crimp look? Can COAL be less then the recommended, if so by how much?

Reducing the OAL is going to raise pressure. Especially w/ 9mm. I can't say how much it can be reduced. But it goes from perfectly fine to over pressure quickly.

Not much because less COAL can raise pressure, if your running through a Auto,I'd favor a taper crimp but that's just me remember to start low and work up 700x is a good powder
