my sisters oldest who is a marine (crew chief on a osprey that flies support for air force one) and my brothers oldest who is army (medic )where out for a family get together and of course there was lots of shooting. asked if they wanted to try black powder and they were game. got out a flintlock and ran down the instructions, showed them how to load and let them shoot. it turned into a competition and the niece smoked the nephew.
they used up a pound of 2f and where shivering in the cold but they kept loading and shooting, even had to change out the flint one time. lots of chunks of winter squash all over.
