What a great post. Yes there's something on my glasses too. It is so good to see someone like Jay Leno who has the means and more importantly the heart to do something that literally is life changing for someone else. Thanks for sharing that Artful. I needed to see something like that. Each of us can do some small thing to help someone else. It doesn't have to be a big thing to make someone's day.

This is what has always separated Leno from so many others in Hollywood. He doesn't try to go for grandiosity just because he's a celebrity. He picks out one individual, likely because she was picked by a vet group, or because he read her story somewhere, and he just saw something good he might do, and .... he just did it. A humble attitude and a real desire to be of service is rare in Tinsel Town, and we sometimes forget, they're human just like the rest of us, and just as capable of displays of real respect and thankfulness as anyone else. They put their pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us.

Thank God for the ones like Jay, who recognize the enormity of all that needs to be done, and just focuses on doing something within his reach. Why does God move us to do something specific like this? I doubt any of us will ever know, but He does it, and that's the crucial point of it all. God smiles on people for His reasons, and it's not up to us to know why He picks some individuals to bring to our attention. It's a test and trial of our character. Guys like Jay are so instructive to the rest of us!
