Thermostat for lee 250 watt 4 pound melter

All I can find is a 500 watt thermostat will that work ? i see the newer ones come with 500 W ,they seam identical as far as melter .

According to FS Reloadings site it should work.

if the size of the switch is the same the only differance is higher service rating of the contacts, should last longer with the load.
