I got 12 lbs of Babbitt. 82% tin 13% antimony. See picture with the analysis.
It has been cleaned an poured into small ingets.
I would like to trade it for soft lead. What will be a fair trade? I was thinking 10:1 ratio? I'm open minded and I want it to be a fair deal for both parties.
I pay to ship it. The other person pays to ship the lead to me.
No $$ to exchange hands.
Your opinion will be appreciated.
Thank you

10 : 1 was the ratio I traded for babbit and my pure plumber lead, 100 lb. pure netted 10 lb ingoted clean babbit.Robert

Tin prices are way down in the S&S these days. And then there is the significant difference in shipping costs... Might want to lower your ratio if you want a fast turn.

Thank you. Like I said I'm open minded and I want to make fair to both parties.
I will lower it to 7:1.

Well 7:1 seems a little low. I was thinking more like 8 or 8.5 to 1.

More or less, tin babbit in ingots is going about $10/lb.Robert
