Cold, wet and nasty today, great day to get some Christmas cooking done! Gonna have a little sweet tray with red velvet muffins/cream cheese butter icing, bannana nut muffins, pralines and choocolate truffles for friends. The main is a quart of this duck/virginia ham/chicken gumbo that I'm gonna sit down to myself in about an hour. Ducks via son from Arkansas, ham from a friend whose brother lives in Va. Wish you fellas was closer. Gotta go scratch up a pot of rice now...

Yessir buddy!!

GF made a pot roast today, beef, taters, onions, carrots. I took the juice and used some Savoie's cajun browning sauce, I guess it's like kitchen boquet, and I sliced a bulb of black garlic into it and made gravy OMG delicious!!!

I just finished up a bowl of pipe'n hot corn chowder...mighty good.
