12 Gauge Threaded Shell Holder?

I know some of you still use the old Lee hand primer that takes threaded shell holders. I love those little priming tools. I'm guessing the answer to my question is no, but did Lee ever make a 12 gauge shell holder for that threaded priming tool? If not, I am looking for suggestions how to prime 12 gauge brass shells without using a reloading press or a hammer.

I don't think Lee ever made any handheld priming tools for shotgun primers. It seems to me the pushrod would be too small.

I'm talking about the Magtech all brass shells. They take a standard Large Pistol primer, NOT a 209. I know RCBS makes a 12 ga shell holder for single stage press, hoping not to have to go that route, but I will if needed.
Pavogrande, I do like that, as I like all old things loading/casting. Is that a dedicated 12 ga primer?

That shell holder would fit a Lee Hand Press!

You can find them on fleabay. I got these thrown in with a mold I bought on there.

1989toddm --- you know i don't really know if it only does 12ga -- I have not looked at it in years. I think the center post is changed -
If you use regular LP primers most hand primers that take button shellholders would work -
Lee uses special shellholders --
How about a ram primer in a lee haand press?

If you do a search on Ebay for the above, you will find a cast iron, plier type that should work. Probably pretty reasonable too.

Sorry, I totally missed the fact you are planning on using Magtech brass with LP primers.

Another idea is to make a new shell holder on a lathe.

You fellas are just NOT old enough
I use my old MEC priming cup turned over :)
Think mine was in a MEC 250 or 400 press.
And I made a special decapping pin for the smaller primers

They work with either primer. Keep an eye on fleabay for a deal.
I use both, only one is 12ga.

183240Whoever suggested the old 19th century nut cracker type priming tool probably had the cheapest solution if you can find one in the proper gauge (gun show, old gun shop, etc.) or if you really want to be cool, the single shot rifle guys have some great "re- and decappers" for rifle use, that take standard RCBS-type shell holders. It's going to cost you around $100 or so, but that tool is super useful for a variety of loading techniques/strategies. I have both and find that the cheaper nut cracker types work fine for small numbers of rounds, but are not as slow or positive acting as the ones that actually fit the case head in a shell holder.

PS Here's a picture of the nutcracker style I mentioned... its on flea-Bay with an outlandish starting bid of nearly $40. I've never paid more than $5 or $10 for one
