Some sort of .45 ACP carbine and the fool sighted with hard ball, then bought HP's for deer. I put him in my woods and he missed two deer but to tell the truth I am glad he did. I really don't want to shoot the deer here. They were all at the bird feeder later, eating the corn we put out for birds.
I had to take my little one to go pot and the two in the garage busted past my leg to chase deer from the front yard. They are so fat they don't last so came back when I called. They act like they did something important.
Carol is having fits right now, there are 8 squirrels at the feeders. Freezing rain right now and they are hungry. Ever see squirrels fat as beach balls? I drive in with my Polaris and they run for the trees like water flowing.
I have not seen any deer at my stands down the road but don't want to kill another for the lady where I hunt. She gave me a rash when I brought the neighbor to help with my stand. She is paranoid and thinks everyone sneaks to her house. She has about 10,000 empty cat food cans in the yard and paper plates all over. Cat crazy woman that seems to live in her truck with cats. She doesn't even have water, pump doesn't work so she fills a huge tank to use, at a spring. The woods is full of trash. One time she said a drone was over her property to spy.
I fix everything for her and get her meat but she does not want to mess with me after telling me I can bring my friends to hunt. She is always broke but worked for the Gov't and has SS but must spend $50,000 a year on cats and gas. She bought a newer mower and broke a spindle, I found 2 for $38 and would order and fix but she has no money. Now the deck is rusting away. Mower is out in the weather.
She has 2 trucks and 2 cars rotting away in the yard. Trucks are full of trash. No free day at the dump and she won't pay for collection. One truck has 50,000# of cat litter in it.

Sure was but the woman is classed at Mensa as is her whole family. Does not mean common sense at all. It is too hard to tread lightly and stay friends. I like to hunt there but is it worth it?

There is a woman that attends the church I go to and she is a anti hunter pro cat lover. She has health issues from having so many cats. Some of the guys from church went to do some repairs on her house and it was so bad a few puked and after one day they would not go back to repair anything else but did finish what they went for on the first trip. She refused to rehome any of the cats claims she loves them all to much even when its is killing her to keep them. She is no a dumb person but has to have some kind of sickness to not see what she is doing to herself with all the cats. About 6 months or less after they did some repairs to the house which was caused by the cats for the most part she got a new double wide and moved all the cats in they have a room of their own with a open window to go in and out of the house. There are alot of litter boxes in the house and said there were so many cats they had to be changed three times a day and that was still not enough. There has to be a mental issue with these people and I am sure if varies. I would have to decide if I could hunt her land with as little contact with her as I could in case she flipped out logic would not help dealing with her I am afraid.

That's a crappy rock and a hard place to be stuck in. Time to explore other hunting horizons perhaps. Don't burn your bridges till you have an alternative crossing if you can avoid it.

Well, the cat deal, I like kitties, I really do but 2-3 is enough. I don't have any myself but our family has 3 that live at my folks house. I love dogs for that matter and really all animals. Having a house packed full of cats or any animal is just cruel to the animals these people supposedly love beyond it being bad physical & mental health. Some people are just really nuts. Personally, I'm perfectly fine with hunting though, long as it serves a valid reason. If you intend to eat your kill or it is eradication that's fine. I love wild game so i'm not at all opposed. I'm ok with sport hunting as long as the animal isn't going to waste. Want to hunt a Cape Buffalo, fine, just donate what you don't take for food or something. Be a sportsman and good ambassador to hunters & shooters alike.

The cat lady illness is called Toxoplamosis. Parasites live in the host and whisper "neeeeeeeed more cats" which in turn creates more feline feces which breeds more Toxo bugs which whisper "neeeeed moooooooore caaaats" and it just gets bad.

Chronic infection with T. gondii has traditionally been considered asymptomatic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asymptomatic) in people with normal immune function.
Some evidence suggests latent infection may subtly influence a range of human behaviors and tendencies, and infection may alter the susceptibility to or intensity of a number of affective (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mood_disorder), psychiatric (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_disorder), or neurological disorders.[139] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasmosis#cite_note-Webster_2013-139) Research has linked toxoplasmosis with schizophrenia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schizophrenia).[140] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasmosis#cite_note-140)
Latent T. gondii infection in humans has been associated with a higher incidence of automobile accidents (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automobile_accidents), potentially due to impaired psychomotor (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychomotor_learning) performance or enhanced risk-taking personality profiles.[139] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasmosis#cite_note-Webster_2013-139) Moreover, correlations have been found between positive antibody titers (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titer) to T. gondii and OCD (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OCD), Parkinson's disease (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkinson%27s_disease), Alzheimer's disease (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alzheimer%27s_disease), suicide (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide) in people with mood disorders, and bipolar disorder (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorder).[139] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasmosis#cite_note-Webster_2013-139) Positive antibody titers to T. gondii have been shown to be not correlative with major depression (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_depression) or dysthymia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysthymia).[141] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasmosis#cite_note-Pearce_2012-141) Although there is a correlation between T. gondii infection and many psychological disorders, scientists are still trying to find the cause on a cellular level.
A 2016 study using the Dunedin cohort (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunedin_cohort) found that "there was little evidence that T. gondii was related to increased risk of psychiatric disorder, poor impulse control, personality aberrations or neurocognitive impairment".[142] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasmosis#cite_note-142)

STOP Enabling is the first step. With luck the cats will eat her soon.

Yeah, found cat people are different. I like cats and dogs but 1 or 2 cats is enough. I won't have cats in the house, they live outside and go to the hay in the barn. Stems from extreme allergies to them long ago. I could walk in one door and out the other and if there was a cat, my eyes would swell shut before I got out. I was immune to dogs. I am better around them now but I don't want a litter pan either.
The lady has too many and they kill all the rabbits and birds. Her cats get sick and she puts them in and is exposed to all. A .22 is the solution at that point.

The cat lady sickness is sad. I had the same situation once. Lady 1/2 miles down the road was raising cats wholesale. I noticed the ferral cat problem shortly after moving in. The neighbors told me about her and then it made sense. After about 6 months of shooting them I realized i was making no progress so I started trapping them. I ran two conibears in the back yard. I caught at least two a week and often many more. I would bag them and toss them in the freezer for trash day. This went on for 5 years straight with no end in sight. Do the math. 2 cats x 52 weeks x 5 years. Remember I said two cats minimum. Well over a thousand cats. Do a search on the problem of ferral cat predation and the havoc it wreaks on the local wild life. There is much written on the subject. At first I felt bad about it, but after educating myself on the problem, I did it with malice.

This is the worst case of too many cats I've ever heard of.
She must of had a very good supplier to come up with that many cats.

She had a dilapidated barn where she simply laid out as much food as they could eat. For years. Hundreds of cats having multiple litters. It adds up.

Guy I know is like this. He and his wife take in all kinds of stray cats. I was telling him they need to put them down. When I told him about the fact that they kill all the small birds, rabbits, and squirrels around he said that they used to have all those around their neighborhood but not anymore.

People just don't understand what a problem ferral cats are.

I'm allergic to Cats, Had a kitten once until she decided to rip apart my new Italian leather couch gifted from my parents as house warming gift then she peed on ONLY my cloths and had to trash those cloths.
Long before that our uncle had a cat and we were not strangers in any means and one day that cat decided to jump on my back and tear up my back and neck. I did nothing aggressive, all i did was walk from living room to the kitchen to get some drink. I hate cats, i guess must be brain damaged according to PositiveCaster.
If your neighbor is causing health issues, call the health department and animal control.

Your town's Public Health office should be able point you in the right direction. In some states and counties have ordinance law. Those Laws can force the owner to clean up or pay fines. I have seen some houses/properties unfit to live in and can lead to eviction depending on the city ordinance laws.

Let me explain a little. New neighbor next door. They had the place perked and not done right. I watched all day. The dip did not have water and got 10 gallons from me for 4 holes. Water was gone on minutes. He said he would be back--NOT. I called the health department, Tunnels under and air shafts for the quarry. Poop to the quarry water. Health Dept told me it perked. NOT!
They cleared the trees and made a mess but have not built. Just maybe they can't. But the woods is destroyed with piles of tree tops and weeds. Wood was removed for fire wood. Scrap is 20' high. Can't be burned so must be taken away. Rocks 10' high in piles too. The whole place is stone.

Javater

What a mess, I hope no one paid in advance...Id use the rocks for giant firepit/place. Why cant the tree scraps be burned? Law?

44man

Huge piles. 20' high. 50 yards around. Would burn for weeks and might set the woods on fire.
Rocks are big as a car. Weeds grew 5' high and are dry. Not good.
