Not sure if this is the place to post but Cabela's online is selling the 1860 Army revolver for $199. That the cheapest I've ever seen them. They also have the 1851 on sale for $199 aswell but that's not as good a markdown.

:roll:Sorry looks like they just ended the sale when I posted... It's been on sale for couple days.... The 1851 yank revolver is still on sale though. Or the Uberti Walker are $379 but I don't know if that's a deal or not.

Bummer, I have been waiting for either the 1860 or the 1858 to go on sale and it looks like I missed it.

It was on sale, with free shipping.... yesterday. I guess it's over.

Was it really on sale or did they just put it in the sale flyer to bring customers in? Last time I dealt with Cabela's, they pulled that BS and didn't have any in the store and wouldn't give a rain check.

They ran them on a great sale last year between Christmas and New Years. I waited too late as it didn't last long.
I already have one, but two seems appropriate.

It was an internet only sale. And yes it was real as one is enroute.

Now I'm thinking about ordering a 1858 to go with the 1860 I ordered two days ago :)

You can get free shipping if you pickup at their store. I have used that off and on myself. Of course it is a moot point if you buy something that is above their magic point for waiving shipping cost. The guns may still be on sale in the stores though. One can get an additional 5% discount if you are a veteran in the stores too.

I have two with Howell's conversion cylinders. They make nice 5 shot 45 Schofields. The balance is superb, best of the old time six-shooter in my opinion.

Oh man, I need to dig into my funds, how long do I have with the 1858?

They put them both on sale on a regular basis, picked up my Pietta 1860 a few years back for a very good price. It was just a little rough but it shoots better every time I take it out....I think it's time to take it out again. :-)
