I have a H&R Buffalo Classic and a Target Classic. Play with them occasionally, and definitely enjoy shooting the .38-55 more. I have a 1901 Krag rear sight I was thinking would work pretty slick on one of them. I figure someone here has probably done the exact same thing. Was wondering what front sight you used, and how far you shoot with the set up. Thanks.

I think that an 1873, 1878 or 1879 Trapdoor sight would match your trajectory much better than a Krag sight. They are still available on-line at various places.

I use the 1901 sight on several muzzle loaders and it works quite well. But on my Buffalo Classic I use the one Brownells sells that I can't remember the name of now, the bolt pattern is right so you don't have to drill the rifle.
