Spent some of the afternoon today casting with the new MiHec 9mm 147grn brass mold. Cast a little over three hundred, now I know why people love brass molds. This thing casts like a dream, preheated on a hot plate while lead was coming to temp. Once the lead hit 650-680 I started casting. First four out the gate had incomplete fills, user error. After that it was perfect HP's . Love this mold, heat cycled 3 times in the oven. Then first casting session last night, then 2nd casting session this afternoon. What a dream to use. Although I did have one SNAFU, one of the screw in pins holding the HP pin in place, got lose and fell out. Oh well mold was probably a little hot, so the break was worth it. Once screwed back in place went back to casting beautiful boolits.
Got a new 125grn HP mold coming hopefully this week, can't wait.
