Tried to get the Traditions pistol to work but failed. Loaded my little flinter just in time for my neighbor to show up. We got in stands. I had the spike come in and he heard my clothes at about 30 yards. I got the hammer back and when he turned his head I got on. I hit him in the neck, through lungs, part of liver, exit the side to break the right leg at the knee. I did not hit any guts.

Always an accomplishment with a 'flinter', congratulations! I need to get my smoothie out and practice up prior to next year! Now the work starts- boning and processing! Flyer

What gun/caliber? I imagine follow through to be harder with a pistol than a rifle. Is it? Nice job! Best, Thomas.

Congratulations. This morning my wife just got her spike with a sidelock cap lock 45 with PRB. Dead before it hit the ground. It will be fine eating just like yours.

Only picture I took is what a RB and 90 gr of FFG can do. Only meat lost is at the neck.182316My old Herter's knife there after removing shoulders.
My freezer is full and we had back straps for supper.
