Which stripper clips for a 1916 spanish mauser?

Got out some of the 8mm I have on stripper clips, thinking mauser clips, were mauser clips. But the 8mm K98 ones dont work. Google did not find specific 1916 spanish clips, but I can find ones for '93, 94, 95 models 7mm'. The 1916 is a 93 mauser, so would those clips work?

I found a thread on a websight that gave a very detailed explaination with pics of the difference in the clips. That oddly the 93/95 clips work in a 1903 springfield, and are usually better than the ones made for springfields. Numrich had a wide selection of the clips, $1.50 ea. All I have are the flimsy turkish ones that came with some ammo I bought.
