I just bought a mold and i assume it'll drop out at 85 grs or so.

I was thinking 3 gr of unique should make a quiet rabbit killer?

I don't have any experience in these light quiet loads, only what CB chat's About

About that same amount of bullseye of 700X will work also

I think I'd use Bullseye or 700X instead of Unique .

I would look at trail boss, I used some for a 230 grain subsonic load and there was some data out there which basically said fill the case with trail boss and weigh it than remove an amount for .... blah blah here is the link http://www.imrpowder.com/PDF/Trail-Boss-data.pdf.

Double the bullet weight and let it's resistance burn the powder for a quiet sound. SHoot light for cheap but heavy for silence.

Same amount of Red Dot with NO fillers.

My feeling exactly! Heavy bullet & Light Charge = less noise!

With these light loads of bullseye (3gr) with no filler does one have to tip the gun to place the charge? Or does it matter.

It has not mattered with my loads .

I shoot a lot of this type loads in many of my rifles and I have never noticed any difference even in large cases

Give it a try in your rifle and please report back.
I find powder position on these very light loads is not of
a concern

Paco Kelly wrote some great articles on silent loads. That was his advice. I am not sure if the site they were on is still up.
