Got the first 2 kills with bullets I've cast. Opening day of Ohio's gun season my father in law used my 444 with a 290gr GC bullets to take a small 9 point. Then I was able to take a 3.5yr old 9 point tonight with my 45/70 using a 405gr GC pill. Feeling slightly accomplished.

Congrats!

It certainly is special to take a big game animal with a bullet that you made.

Congrats! That is something I want to do too. Maybe during ML season.

I'm following a .45-70 facebook page and between it and this forum, it seems like deer are dropping like flies to the .45-70 in Ohio this year.

Congrats on the deer, I'm glad Ohio is allowing something besides shotgun slugs now for deer.

Congrats! I took my first 2 with CBs last year with my .41mag Ruger BH. It is very satisfying.

Congrats on your first CB kills. Have been hoping to take a deer with my Henry and CB's, but all I have managed to kill is 3 woodchucks. Gotta start somewhere.

Good job, congrats! First CB kill is indeed a very special "first". I used a 45-70 on my first CB kill and haven't taken a game animal with a J-word since.
