My normal dry brass tumbler is just to small. I got a new in the box BBQ rotisserie for a motor from the secondhand store. and I was going to use a 5 gallon bucket for a tumbler
This morning I made the motor mount from scrap metal from an old computer tower. I made the connection for the motor to the bucket. mounted the motor and bucket to an old box I had using rollers to run the bucket on.
I wanted to run everything to see what had to be adjusted. I turned the motor on and all I got was metal grinding sound. You guessed it. The motor was inoperable.
Well I guess the bright spot is. I just have to find a power source for the tumbler parts I put together.

Did you take the motor apart to see what was actually wrong with it?

yup The actual female recess that accepts the shaft from the 5 gallon pail freespins without making contact with the toothed gear from the motor. And there is no way of getting at the guts to the female shaft.
