Anybody that knows me knows that cleaning my revolvers isn't my favorite thing to do. One of the reason is that I never seemed to have enough flat area without moving another project to do so. To start this casting season I decided to start to or further organize some of my spaces. This was a cluttered up old mess but now is a quick easy way to clean up without the hassle of setting up each time.
I'll post my new Powder Coat area in a near future post.

The only thing missing is the cooler and an easy chair!! Looks nice.

I had a spot like that and I had a 2X2 piece of vinyl floor covering on it, which worked great. Easy cleanup and no way would it ever scratch anything or soak up any chemicals.

I did put 2 coats of varnish to prevent stains and I use a pad made for drying dishes but didn't photograph it because it's pretty stained up and I wanted to show the top of the drop down section. Most of it is just scrap wood from the garage attic. I'm excited to get back to being a bit more organized. So much easier to put things in there place if they actually have a place to begin with.

Looks great probably wont even recognize your guns at the range.

How dumb I feel. And to think of how many years I've just cleaned my guns on the kitchen table. Nice whatchamacallit though.

Interesting as well as you know me I'm sure you know I'm not going to shock the revolvers all at once. I'm going to have to ease into this cleaning thing.

Pretty good idea and I can definitely see a use for one. Mine just get cleaned at my bench and I have to move stuff around everytime.

PITB yours folds up and that alone keeps it ready to go.

good Idea!

I like it.

I built a bench over a small desk years ago and keep most of my supplies on shelves over the bench. It's basically an ad hoc version of the OP's and not nearly as well thought out.

I have found over the years that a cleaning "kit" is fine for occasional use away from home but nothing beats a cleaning station at home. It's just easier to have a bench top and all of your supplies in easy reach as opposed to digging through a box or bag for them.

Shown in this photo the swing out angle iron that holds up the work surface when in use and a better photo of it when it is open.

Hey guys, I figured this would be a good time to make my first post as I've lurked around for a few months. That, and I know jeepyj personally. This really is a nice looking setup he has. But I compare it to those pillows that your wife puts on the bed every morning and you have to move every night before you get in. They look great, but never get used. Sorry, jeepyj, I couldn't help myself.

Well STI4ME I'm not going to let your words hurt me. You never know there may be a day that I surprise everyone and shine up the ole 66. As PMG says...
"Baby steps" I don't want to jump into this cleaning thing to quickly!
