View Full Version : high standart sportking 22 problem
I have a high standard sportking (semi-auto),,,,mechanically it is all there but it jams after only 8 to 10 rounds. By jamming I mean that the bolt does not move freely. After a good cleaning it functions fine for the 8-10 rounds then the bolt jams,,,get very sticky and jams. In fact it is hard to manually pull the bolt back.
Any thoughts about what might be happening? I have not had any success clearing up this problem.
thanks

I have one myself , the slide on these are tight . I use a very light coat of Remoil or light oil . They get gummed up quick with a heavy lube . Might try it ?
thanks Boaz...
I do use the light lubricate. I have also polished the bolt.
The other thing I notice when I fire the rifle is that flame/sparks are visible at the ejection port side. In fact that area of the wood stock shows signs of scorching.

Does the recoil spring seem excessively weak ?
no,,,the recoil spring feels good. It bolt seems to be sticking and doesn't slide easily backward after the shot is fired.
