Does anyone make a decent aftermarket sight for the Ruger Blackhawk? My eyes just have trouble with that very low shallow groove rear sight. My eyes just pick up a deep wide rear sight much better. I understand that the height of both front and rear sights might be an issue. Thanks.

+1 on Bowen. Replaced the sights on ALL of my Ruger revolvers!

I have no doubt about the quality of the Bowen sights. I like the One Hole Sights

The Bowen sight looks like a better made Ruger but still the same small shallow notch. At least in the pictures they provide which are small. The one hole should give better sight definition. I just have problems with my old eyes picking up the stock blade in that shallow notch.

I'm considering these for my Bisley;

Don't know how old your eyes are but does this sight trick the eyes like peep sights do?

57 high mileage year old eyes
The one hole sight is similar to a peep-sight
Not ultra precise but I am happy with the results
As you might imagine, the more you use them the better your accuracy

Aside from the One Ragged hole sight or other rear peep type, I don't know of any available.
However, it is easy to buy a spare blade from Ruger, & have a gunsmith mill the notch a wee bit wider and or deeper. Or you can hand file it if you have the skills. Maybe buy a few spares & work on them to see what works for you.
