I was gonna look at the 230gr NOE mold but they are sold out of PB molds. Anyone try the 247gr Whisper mold?
My rifle is a Ruger American with a 1:7 twist. I already have good luck with the Lee 312-155 for super loads.

The NOE 247 is a possibility. I was also looking at some Accurate molds in the 230-235gr range.

I think I want a three cavity mold at least. Two MAYBE......

I need to utilize what casting time I do get. Is there another design I am missing? What are you having luck with in your bolt gun?

They have the 311-230 2GC/2PB in stock. I started buying that type for most and prefer them. Gives you both options in one mold. Here was Sunday's result w/ the mold :D

As usual they weighed more w/ my alloy. 235/238 grains respectively.

I have no need for a GC. Looking at PB molds only. I like this one though.

Walter I run the LEE.
tumble lubed and pushed through my 310 sizer.
probably not necessary to size.
but it makes a good pile of boolits I just water drop them and can make a quick pile of the little guy's.
4 grs of that bulls-eye or red-dot you have should get them to the target just fine.

I'll have to try that. I just recently got one of the Americans. I've been using Unique on a few so far, or Lil Gun that were loaded for an AR.

The 247gr NOE flat nose is a good bullet, better than any of the pointed options if you intend to shoot meat with it. It runs fine in ARs. The shallow cone hollow point they offer in the RG option is good too, although their deep hollow point is too narrow and not great for expansion unless you use near-pure lead.

I bought a PB mold, and wish it was GC. You can generally shoot a GC bullet without the check, but cant shoot a PB mold at high velocity. I bought the NOE 247gr GC, not noticed any real difference in accuracy at subsonic with or without the GC. But I can drive them checked out of my 300 win mag at 2500fps. The 200gr 311 NOE I bought for my mosin, really wish it was GC.
