Only took 32 years for me to get around to trying cast, and from all appearances it went well. 311041 of about 12 BHN, H335 and a bag rest at 50 yards. Still a bit more work to do on this, but it looks like future purchases of jacketed bullets is a thing of the past. Alox lube dusted with mica/graphite.

Well you can't argue with that. Nice shooting. I also use the 311041 in my 30/30s.

No it hasn't. I'm probably going to keep upping the ante until I max out or accuracy goes south. Lyman sez I have room for another 4 grains of powder as I recall. FWIW, the alloy mix is 9# ea. WW/Pb w/ 4# lino and 13 oz Sn.

Nice. I havent got my 30-30 cast inside 24" at 25yds yet... need to try gas checks next batch :)
