I've bought more than my fair share of firearms on the internet with a friendly local FFL who does transfers for me for nothing. (Which I don't accept - I always "drop," or sometimes have to hide, a twenty somewhere before I leave.)
But, I've never SOLD a gun on the internet, and that's where I need some advice.
I have a Remington 700 Classic Limited Edition (1990's 25-06 model) that is almost NIB. (I've never shot it, but it has a couple handling marks on the wood from being put into the safe and moved around inside the safe when I was trying to get to other guns...)
I tried to trade it with the local gun dealer, but he was way off on what I thought the difference should be on the prices. And, after thinking about it, I'd rather have a used version of the gun I'm trying to acquire anyway.
So, any suggestions on how to market a trade or sale deal on the internet? I peruse AuctionArms.com, Gunbroker.com, and GunsAmerica.com regularly. Is one better than another? Is there another better site to use? Do any of them have high (or low) fees that I may not catch in the FAQs?
