Excellent work!
Here is what I see- Something he thought about for many hours and probably more than a few sheets of paper. Brass ram tip to protect cylinder, fixed ram angle unlike the cheap rolling angle model available on the market. Knurled handle nice touch, VERY NICE! Now that you have it all figured out, you can knock me one out for what, twenty five, thirty bucks?

Thank you chaps. :)
You're about right with the process Gtek. I never work to "drawings" just rough sketches, but a lot of them, filtering out the wheat from the chaff. Factoring in the available materials, cost, size I can machine etc.
You're also just about right on the price too - $25 is just about what the materials cost. :)
I'm purely a self taught hobby metal scratcher but always enjoyed making things. Current project is an abor press and I've just sketched out a pair of shooting spectacles that I can hang an iris from for precisian pistol shooting.
Here's a couple of concentricity gauges I've just finished:

WOW! I've been to two wagon wheel greasings, four llama shearings and even saw a one legged man win a butt kicking contest; but these devices with their fine machining skills obvious beat about anything I've ever witnessed. Talk about talent!

Oh, it's a cylinder loader. By the title it thought it was going to be a device for making round balls by swaging. Anyway; it looks good.
