Release of .338 Federal Ruger No. 1AB rifles

Just a heads up, this 2016 Black Friday - a NOS horde of the elusive Ruger No.1 AB in caliber .338 Federal has just been released - where they came from I do no know - but check Google and/or your favorite gun auction sites - several of them out there right now, for about a grand apiece.

This is very tempting. I already checked the sites and almost bought one. I don't need to buy more molds and other accessories to load it so I didn't hit the buy button :(

Agreed. I would have bought one, too - if the funds were there - and if the better half had not given me "that look".

I've got all the makings already 'cause was gonna have a 99 rebored. Then the project got sidelined when we relocated to Indiana with it's weirdo hunting cartridge restrictions. Even got a Lee TL six cavity and a Lee .329 for paper patches.
Just not sure that I'd want another No.1. But being single shot it would make a nice cast rifle fo' sure.
