Hello, does anyone have any info on this old surplus powder from Hodgdon. Looking for history and what cartridges it is good in, thanks

I bought guite a few pounds of it in the early 70's on closeout for $1.50 a pound. The 1 lb cans were marked useable for the 219 Donaldson Wasp. I used it for 223 and 222 and finally burned it up probably ten years ago. I have loading data for it in a old Hodgen manual. Are you going to burn some?

I found the manual Hodgen Data # 16, burning rate is listed faster to slower,

H335
BLC 2
H375
4895
H380

It looks like if you used H380 data you would be real close to H375 data in the 222 Rem

Just a WAG but I'd bet it was a precursor to H380 and has a close burning speed.

Thanks guys for taking the time to pass on the info. I called Hodgdon and they sent out some data for it. Going to give it a try in 30-06 and the 270 win.

If you need more H375 data than what Hodgen sends I can make a copy of what I have in the #16 manual and mail it. Ron

Thanks Ron for the offer. Hodgdon sent me a copy of the original load sheet that contains all the info I needed.
