Hey guys/gals,

Looking for recommendations on where to get my mould from. .358 - 124gr - flat base (Sig P320)

Goal - shoot as-cast - if I can avoid having to size them I'm willing to spend a few extra $$.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first post here!

You don't give much wiggle room for the mold but I found this one. Never used it though. Many options are also available from NOE

Looking to tumble lube? Tom will cut a mold to your exact specifications with your alloy.

Check out what Lee has in a double cavity. Around $25.00 or so retail. They have tumble lube molds.

I'm not stuck on the weight -
shooting PSA, looking for an easy target round that I can throw down range a few ten thousand times

I was thinking of going with Hi-Tek coatings

I have that exact mold that yodogsandman posted above. I picked it up a couple years ago for 9mm myself. They come out of the mold around .359 or so. As far as feeding is concerned, of the two pistols I tried them in, one liked them (a beretta 92) and one absolutely hates them (hk vp9).

Razorbak, What are you shooting them in? Lots of proven molds known, if folks had that info.

Sizing boolits with a Lee push thru size and lube kit (.358" part#90048) and tumble lubing with Bens Liquid Lube will be faster and easier than Hi-Tek. That's what I do because I'm lazy. Using Hi-Tek might mean less clean up after shooting and more shots between cleanings, though. Remember that Hi-Tek will add some thickness to the finished boolit.

so what size does that sig like?
356? 358?

Sig P320 - A buddy slugged it at 357, I'm going to slug it again just to make sure. Ill look into lube some more. I like the idea of lazy, something that is "kiss - keep it stupid simple" but would really like not to size them

Winter is here, I have 400 lbs of WW that I'll be smelting over the weekend and working towards casting after the 1st of the year. Not much range time so casting it is. Hope to be reloading this spring. Budget doesn't allow a bunch of trial and error so I need to get the mold right the 1st time and a powder that's known to work.

I'd go to 358 then. [which I would have anyway]

everything from bulls-eye to unique will work in the 9mm.
I prefer something close to bulls-eye/red-dot [but not titegroup].
8 lbs will give you about 10-K rounds. [I had a little left over on this springs run]
I got nuthin on the mold, the one I use I designed myself, and I size/lube in a star.
10-K 125ish gr. boolits is @180 lbs. of alloy just so you know.

Check out the Lee 6 cavity 356-120 TC, it casts about .3575". It just rains boolits and they feed great. I water drop them from the mold for some more hardness.
