Hi guys,

I don't post very often if at all, but lurk around alot and learn alot. I am getting a S&W 460 soon, and as you may know, it can fire 3 different rounds-460 S&W, 454 casull and 45 colt. So if a 45 Colt is shot through this, do you have to trim the case back to factory length?

Thanks!

The Colt case won't stretch...or at least, it didn't for me.

Shoot, reload and repeat.

years ago I had a 445 supermagnum Dan Wesson, I shot 44 special, 44 magnum and the full size 445 SM, no trimming, just a bit of extra cleaning to make sure all the longer brass extracted easily.

I would load down .460 brass to .45 levels. Use a bulky, faster powder, don't try it with H110/296.
I have always found the full length brass to be more accurate.
