Side load gate controversy aside, I've really enjoyed my Henry 41 Mag. I sent Mr Imperato an email about other models in 41 mag and his reply was:

Thank you Sir for purchasing a Henry 41 Mag and for your kind words. We certainly appreciate it. We are coming out with Big Boy Steel Carbine, Big Boy Classic and Carbine with octagon barrels in early 2017. We will keep you posted.

Nice to get a reply. I have a Henry 22 mag and think its a great little rifle. Will likely be sending my Rossi 357 down the road because of it as I have plenty of deer rifles.

Have an 1894 Cowboy Limited and the Henry Big Boy Steel, both great. Both more accurate than I can see to shoot them I think.

Another happy Henry 41 mag owner. Have had a Marlin CCL for 20 years and I found the Henry to be much less fussy about what types of cast it would feed. Once I got used to the tube feed I found it just as fast to load and far faster / safer to unload. No less accurate. Far more available. So I am left thinking.. What is there not to like.
I have written Mr Imperato twice about ideas and questions which he replied to very kindly. I sent him a photo of a 5 shot 50 yard cast group (265 gc) and he sent a very nice note in a box of items. Marlin has never given me a word.

Saw one at the local gun show a bit ago. The mag tube reminded me of an old 410 bolt shotgun many years ago. As the 41 is my favorite Mag caliber I need to think seriously about getting one.

A good application of a high tec car finish will go a long ways keeping carbon steel protected from the wet stuff.
