This 1902 1895 30 GOV is no collector. The shot out barrel has been shortened.
I have a 250 Krag Ackley reamer and dies, but for 30-06 there must be some lifter and magazine issues.

Why not just put a new 30-40 aka 30 Gov barrel on it an avoid the problems. Years ago I read that the 30-06 in the 95 was a bit too much and some problems with them resulted from the higher pressure. The 30-40 is a fine cartridge that will shoot cast or jacketed quite well and will take big game easily.

It would probably not be 30-06. I have 270, 6.5-06, and 25-06 reamers that I like better.
I hunt long range.

Price it out from a collector. You might find they may pay enough for a new 1895 or another rifle.

This. The 95 action is not a basis for a long range rifle.

Parts need to convert to 30-06 would be a mag box with follower and a bolt to fit the different size rim. There must be at least 5 different mag box designs, then there is the early and late which use different springs. The 30-06 (30-03) box has a special setup for holding the cartridge that the other boxes don't have. While the 1895 is a strong action it may be a little weak for the 30-06, I have seen a few that had developed head space. If you rely want a shoulder thumper go with the 405. Actually the 30-40 will do just as good as a 30-06 in a lever gun.
