Do you refer others to our site?

Had an interesting conversation with a gentleman at Cabelas yesterday about the 45/70 and how versatile it is and how it can be cast for relatively easily. I referred him to our site here to learn more.

Anyone else refer others to our site to spread the casting boolit world?

I've been fortunate enough to meet members from Canada and locally as well as meet my CB mentor, 45cal.

Just random musings on my day off as I enjoy the fall weather outside drinking my coffee. (Didn't want to miss another S&S deal so grabbed my tablet)

I refer people often on Facebook. There seem to be a lot of guys there that refuse to read a reloading manual so I doubt they are actually following through.


As concerns the business cards. There is no way to say it without sounding prudish. It is embarrassing to link to, wear or use swag with, or hand out anything that has the CB logo. I smoke cigars, drink an occasional glass of whiskey, irritate my wife with my sometimes salty language and I love melons as much as any other guy, but it is just unprofessional or distasteful or "hickish" (for lack of a better word) or something.

It always makes me feel like I am saying, "check out this website, it will edumacate you on loadin' bullets. Also we like girls, and some of us are training to be double naught spies".

I realize 99% of the members disagree or do not care. I do not lose any sleep over it. I just felt like ranting about something that did not involve The Donald or Hillary.

Well said. I love the site and learn new things on a regular basis. I have and will recommend the sight, I'm just not a big fan of the logo.

I have a couple of friends in a small town that I see often and we usually end up in the local gunshop if for no other reason than to talk about guns with others there. That gives me a opportunity to recommend our site.

All the time at gun stores, gun shows and other forums for any information about loading cast and obscure older calibers.

My standard line is that no matter what your trying to do someone most likely has already been there in the cast world.

I gotta say that most of the folk I run into out in Poulsbo/Silverdale at the Sportsman's are just Richards, so I don't bother any longer. Staff sucks too, so my interaction is beyond minimal.
I keep to myself at the range, so that doesn't happen either since most guys there are just JO's and can't be bothered.
The few guys I've mentored in reloading and casting are members now. They came to me.

Many who I've encounterrd in my many years in the gun business are just a bunch of blowhard know-it-alls, so I gave up the "suggestions &directions" YEARS AGO.
I can think of five fellas who I've turned on to this site. All the rest can keep knowing it all, ya know😇?

This sit is a plethera of info for those who cast/ load. I mention it to those i know who are serious about those aspects of loading.

I belong to an outdoor trading site that is comprised of mostly locals....one of them turned me on to this site during a conversation about molds and casting. I am grateful, very grateful.
