I recently bought one of these to tackle several thousand pieces of .223 brass I have accumulated over the years. I thought during the winter I would trim brass when it is too cold to get outside.
I am having problems with it. I just can not get it to trim to length without a lot of force . I had a piece of brass 1.770 and trim to 1.750. After 80 turns of the trimmer I removed .005" off the length. I trim a while and then measure length. At this point I am far quicker with my old RCBS trimmer.
I trimmed about 50 pieces of brass and the next morning, I had muscle soreness.
I look for brass particles that would cause the length to be long but nothing there.
Anyone have any tips?

Yes, buy a Little Crow Gunworks World's Finest Trimmer (WFT) for .223

I've had the older Lee Trimmers that spin the case and a Lyman Trimmer. I find the WFT to be a much better product. It registers on the case shoulder, so resizing the brass before trimming is highly recommended to get consistent length of Cases.
