They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Thanks BOB

Thanks for posting. Looked up a hometown lad - he was KIA on his 8th day in VN. It is good to be reminded of the honor and sacrifice of those good men.
It must so hard for most, to see one who gave all at such a young age.
For me I will honor him and his pain, as long as I walk the face of this earth.
I will give thanks to ALL the BOBS and gladly bear the pain in there HONOR
WE must all find our OWN WAY to HONOR them.
Vaya con DIOS
Many gave all
All gave some
For our tomorrow
They gave their today

Thanks. Reverence seems to be something our nation has difficulty displaying for the past several years. May that change, now that there's a light at the end of the tunnel again, and may we be worthy of those great men, and what they sacrificed for us. Great post!
