Background: All of my molds are stored with a spray of Eezox, a lube, cleaner and rust preventative. Today, pulled the Ideal 311413 mold out of the box, put the handles on and has a 'flash' thought. Let's try instead of cleaning the mold normally with Micro-90 ... just wipe the Eezox coated mold with a paper towel to remove the excess.

Gonna tell you folks, it was the best casting experiment in all my 50 some years of casting:drinks:
* After about 5 bullet drops that went back in the pot after a 5 second ladle pour and a 8 second frost of the sprue puddle - the bullets started gravity dropping or with a couple of light taps with the hickory handle on the mold handles
In order of what I saw:
* The sprue puddles completely slid off the plate with no effort after I glove handed the plate
* The bullet bases in the mold was perfectly round with each bullet
* Couple of handle taps and the bullets dropped effortlessly - ya I had a few stubborn bullets that needed 5 light taps to drop
* The mold pins were shiny like they had a heavier coating of Eezox
* All dropped bullets all had a mirror like finish with the cutter marks nearly invisible
* The parting lines were indistinguishable with zero ridges on every bullet
* All bullet bases were absolutely flat and the edges perfectly round and sharp
I compared these bullets to those from a previous cast and difference was remarkable
So am going to continue casting with the Eezox sprayed molds straight out of the storage boxes
