I am in need of a Lyman 310 die used for priming. This would also be used for other cartridges like .38-72 (my real interest) and probably a whole bunch of other cartridges based off of this case. If anyone has one that they would like to sell, please contact me at brent@iastate.edu

Thanks
Brent

FWIW:

405 Win takes a #7 priming chamber, same as 44 Spcl/Mag, 303 Sav/Brit, 35 Win and 30/40.

Randy Davis (http://www.cnyauctions.com/the310shop.htm) sells individual dies should be able to fix you up with one for ~$17.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I fell off of Randy's email list long ago and have forgotten his full name and website.

What is your 38-72 chambered in? It is also a favorite of mine. I rechambered a NEF 38-55 for it and just had a 30-40 Krag Browning 1895 rebored/rechambered for it,but no load data for the 1895 yet. Was hoping to take an Elk with it this year, but drew a BP tag this year.

Rockrat,
Mine is a semioriginal (new barrel and colors), Winchester Singleshot. It will be an elk rifle this fall. Until then, it is a target rifle and constant source of frustration. But I like it anyway. Killed a mule deer with it last fall.
